Open and navigate a book

Select a publication in your library to open it in the Thorium Web reader. Use the reader’s navigation controls to move through the book, open its contents, and adjust reading settings. Available controls depend on the publication and its format.

Use Reading → Contents to open the table of contents, and Reading → Settings to adjust the reader’s available display preferences. The book’s reading theme is independent of the desktop app’s light or dark appearance.

Choose Library → Back to library to close the current book and return to your catalog.

Desktop menus

• Account: Open sign-in or sign out.
• Library: View or refresh the catalog, or return from a book.
• Reading: Open reading settings and contents when a publication is ready.
• View: Change the library layout or enter full screen.
• Edit: Use standard text editing commands, including Paste in the sign-in form.

Some reading commands are available only while a book is open. TLS Reader’s bundled Thorium version does not currently provide a bookmark interface.

Light and dark appearance

The library, book cards, and sign-in dialog follow your operating system’s light or dark appearance, including changes made while the app is running. This setting does not change the reading theme inside a book.
